Tips on measuring blood pressure


Tip 1: Relax

ü   One should avoid doing physical exercise, smoking and consumption of coffee or tea 30minutes before taking blood pressure measurement.

ü   Wear loose-fitting clothes and rest for 5 minutes before measurement.

Tip 2: Arm position

ü   Please make sure the cuff is at the same level as your heart.

Tip 3: Accurate Record

ü   In order to ensure the accuracy, one should obtain the average of at least 2 blood pressure readings. And the two measurements should be taken at least 2 minutes apart.
